Day two of the ESL ESEA Pro League Season 2 finals is now behind us and with it more world-class CS:GO matches filled with amazing plays. The European teams showed complete dominance on day one and yesterday they were fighting for a slot in the semifinals. The North American teams, on the other hand, were fighting for their survival in the tournament.

The European battle for the semifinals was up first in the schedule. The first matchup was a true clash of the giants as reigning Valve major champions Team EnVyUs took on reigning ESL ESEA Pro League champions Fnatic. The French team, after a disappointing performance at DreamHack Winter, rose to the challenge and took Fnatic down in a 2-0 sweep. The next semifinal ended in the same score, when ? (formerly TSM) took on Natus Vincere. Although Na’Vi put up a good fight, they did not manage to stop the Danes.

It was do or die for the North American teams as all of them played in the group elimination matches. The most intense battle was between Team Liquid and Conquest as the series had to go to the third map. In the end, it was the favorites from Liquid who prevailed and will meet Fnatic in the decider match. The second decider match was between Counter Logic Gaming and Luminosity Gaming, with the favorites from Brazil taking the series 2-0 and moving onto the decider match against Natus Vincere.
