While the matches over the day saw some solid play, most of the fans were waiting for the deciding matches for the first two spots to the major at ESL One Cologne. With mousesports facing G2 Esports and Gambit playing FaZe, two big matches were to be played at the very end of the day. Have a look with us at the victories teams and how the stage is set after the third round of play in Katowice.

Mousesports and FaZe to Cologne!

The day started of with the CIS dreams being crushed, as Fluffy Gangsters and Empire saw themselves eliminated, failing to overcome Renegades and Immortals likewise. The day went on with those matches setting the matchups we will see this Sunday, before coming to the final matches for the first two challengers at ESL One Cologne 2016.

First off, mousesports qualified for their second shot at making it to the LANXESS arena with a clean sweep. Only one single round was won by G2 as they saw mousesports sprinting towards their ticket to Cologne, and another chance to play in front of the German crowd. FaZe had to fight way harder for their trip to Germany this July. Gambit fought hard, but was only able to collect eleven rounds before FaZe closed out the game.

  • Fluffy Gangsters 11-16 Renegades
  • Immortals 16-7 Team Empire
  • HellRaisers 16-10 Team Dignitas
  • FlipSid3 Tactics 7-16 OpTic Gaming
  • TyLoo 13-16 Cloud9
  • Team EnVyUs 16-4 Splyce
  • G2 Esports 1-16 mousesports
  • Gambit Gaming 11-16 FaZe Clan
