After a more than just interesting opening day, the ESL ESEA Pro League continued with the quarterfinals, seeing the second and third placed teams from the groups clash. With Cloud9, EnVyUs, Keyd Stars and Fnatic, four strong teams were going in. However, only two of them could come out victorious and stay alive in the competition.

Cloud9 vs. EnVyUs: Securing a North American presence in the grand final

In the first match of the day, Cloud9 and EnVyUs met again after having already clashed in the opening match of group A. This time, Cloud9 were able to underline their strong play from the first day in this best of three series. On both Dust2 and Cache, the North Americans won 16-12 in a strong fashion. EnVyUs gave them a good challenge, but in the end seangares and his team were the stronger team in this fight.

Keyd Stars vs. Fnatic: Keeping the balance

With Counter Logic Gaming and Cloud9 already set in the semifinals, it was on Fnatic to keep the European hopes high against Keyd Stars. Starting off with a strong play on Inferno, Fnatic were able to win 16-5 and looked way more confident than on day one. On Train, however, Keyd Stars were the ones to give them trouble, taking the game into overtime before the Swedes could take the win 19-16.
