Team Liquid and Renegades qualify for IEM World Championship Katowice

Eleven out of sixteen teams are now confirmed for the CS:GO tournament at Intel® Extreme Masters World Championship Katowice taking place during the first weekend of March. Top teams from around the world will compete for a share of the US$500,000 prize pool, as well as a win counting towards the Intel Grand Slam. Joining the competition after emerging victorious in the North American closed qualifier, will be Team Liquid and Renegades.

Closed qualifier results

Round of 8

  • Team Liquid vs. compLexity 2-1 (11-16 on cobble, 16-7 on mirage, 16-2 on train)
  • 100 Thieves vs. NRG FF-W
  • Luminosity vs. Misfits W-FF
  • Splyce vs. Renegades 1-2 (10-16 on cache, 16-7 on inferno, 4-16 on mirage)

Round of 4

  • Team Liquid vs. NRG 2-1 (16-14 on overpass, 7-16 on mirage, 16-8 on train)
  • Luminosity vs. Renegades 0-2 (11-16 on cache, 6-16 on train)
