Only two and a half week weeks remain until the showfloor of the IEM Expo in Katowice, Poland, will be filled with gaming booths, meet-and-greets, giveaways and countless other attractions. Amongst them will be the CROSSFIRE IEM Expo Invitational - a US$15,000 CROSSFIRE tournament that will see four of the world’s stand-out teams compete for top honors and the lion’s share of the prize pool.

Tournament details

The CROSSFIRE IEM Expo Invitational is set to take place on March 4th in the convention hall of the Spodek Arena. The teams will undergo a double elimination bracket with matches being best-of-1 and the grand finals going to a full best-of-three.

The prize pool distribution is as follows:

1st place - $7,000
2nd place - $4,000
3rd/4th place - $2,000

The teams

Four teams have been directly invited, three from Europe and one from China, to find out which region is looking the strongest in 2017. All eyes are sure to be on Super Valiant Gaming, formerly ViCi Gaming, the 2016 CFS Grand Finals champions. They may come into the Invitational as favorites but are sure to face stiff competition in FlipSid3 Tactics and PENTA Sports, two former CFS Grand Finals second places, as well as favorite-slayers ESC Gaming.

SuperValiant Gaming - MZiN, 18, 4mE, DAOBOQ, N9
FlipSid3 Tactics - SEVEN, phaze, Snox, Denis, KREEDZ
PENTA Sports - nLs, Loones, MooN, ReijN, bL4ME
ESC Gaming - LionClaw, Nova, Nartex, FLEXX, Scorpzz

We’re excited to find out who will triumph at the CROSSFIRE IEM Expo Invitational! To stay up to date regarding the tournament and our various community cups, be sure to follow ESL Crossfire on both Twitter and Facebook.
