The first stage of 2014's earliest WCS Europe season is over. The final Challenger matches ended last night with NightEnd winning the 24th Challenger match and therefore securing the 32th spot in the Premier League. Starting on February 18th, those 32 players are going to try and advance to the round of 16. Groups will be announced next week.

This week's batch of Challenger matches brought forth a huge reinforcement for the Terran fraction and their supporters. Except for uThermal, every Terran won his Challenger match including both Code-S veterans from Korea, jjakji and ForGG. It's still the least represented race in the round of 32, but has almost tripled its strength from three to eight players.

With Lilbow, San, jjakji, NightEnd, LiveZerg, Snute and Miniraser, seven players are going to debut in WCS Europe's Premier League. All players will be divided into eight groups of four. Using the Dual Tournament format, only two out of every group are going to survive the round of 16 and advance to the next stage.
