We are happy to announce that ESL has partnered with Intel and AnyKey to once again bring the world’s best women’s CS:GO teams to Katowice to compete in a US$30,000 tournament during the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship. Eight teams from Europe and North America will battle it out on the second weekend of the event.
Four of the eight participating teams—two from Europe and two from North America—will receive direct invitations to the tournament. Stay tuned to the IEM website and social media channels as invited teams are announced in the coming weeks.
The remaining four teams will be determined through online qualifiers. Three slots will be granted to European teams and one to a North American team. The qualifier schedule will be as follows:
- January 28 to 29 - EU qualifier #1 (2 slots)
- February 4 to 5 - NA qualifier (1 slot)
- February 4 to 5 - EU qualifier #2 (1 slot)
See you in Katowice!
We wish all of the teams participating in the qualifiers the best of luck and can’t wait to watch the action live in Katowice! The group stage matches will take place on March 2 with the playoffs happening on the following day on March 3.
