The final battle for a slot in the Hearthstone Legendary Series in Katowice approaches!

We’re just one step away from knowing the full lineup for the Hearthstone Legendary Series in Katowice! A total of 16 players will compete for eight slots in the Katowice finals, with the first eight players having already been determined through a series of online qualifiers. These players proved victorious over hundreds of others and will be taking part in the final qualifier, which will determine who will compete in the final in Katowice.

Qualified players

The current qualified players are as follows:

From the European qualifier:
  • Jon "Orange" Westberg (Sweden)
  • Erik "Inderen" Kristensen (Denmark)
  • Dominic "Random" Fahnert (Germany)
  • Kristjan "SirKristjan" Atli (Iceland)
  • Oliver "James" Geiges (Germany)
From the Polish qualifier:
  • Bartłomiej "noMERCY ikealyou" Zawadzki
  • Tomasz "izual512" Oleszczyk
From the American qualifier:
  • Facu "BrawL Nalguidan" Pruzzo (Argentina)
The above players have proved their skill and will compete in the final qualifier alongside seven invited players as well as recently crowned ESL Hearthstone Legendary Series season one champion Austin “SilentStorm” Li.

Prizes

The final eight players to qualify will get to compete in Katowice for a US$30,000 prize pool, and nobody will be leaving empty-handed - check out the prize distribution below.
  • 1st place: US$13,000
  • 2nd place: US$6,000
  • 3rd to 4th place: US$3,000
  • 5th to 8th place: US$1,250
But wait, there’s more!

ESL Hearthstone Legendary Series will also lead to an automatic qualification for the Hearthstone World Championship, which will take place in late fall 2015.

Players will receive HWC points for the Hearthstone Legendary Series event in Katowice as follows:  
  • 1st place: 100 points
  • 2nd place: 50 points
  • 3rd to 4th place: 20 points
  • 5th to 8th place: 10 points
