This Sunday, four players will battle it out to decide who will emerge victorious from the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship in Hearthstone.

Two players overcame hundreds of others to qualify for our US$4,000 Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft tournament here in Katowice, and will face our two invitees Dan “Artosis” Stemkoski, 2013 Blizzon champion, and Marcin “Gnimsh” Filipowicz, of team dogehouse fame. But who are they?

23 year old Phillip “SineX” Zoschke hails from Germany, and has a long card gaming history, having played games such as Yu-Gi-Oh extensively before having come to Hearthstone. A player since the closed beta, SineX is one of the best in the world.

Jakub “Lothar” Szygulski, our fourth player, is 28 years old, and comes from Poland (Poznań, to be precise, so still some distance from Katowice!). Also having plenty of card game experience before Hearthstone came into his life, Lothar is a former World of Warcraft Trading Card Game pro player, ranking number one in Poland and in the top eight in the world in both Constructed and Limited tournaments.

Both SineX and Lothar are playing for Planetkey Dynamics, and all four players will no doubt bring us an exciting series of games this Sunday.

Be sure to check out the Hearthstone schedule for match times and the main Intel Extreme Masters homepage for information about streams and all the other games currently at Katowice.

See you then!
