The Intel Extreme Masters Shenzhen qualifiers are underway with the European qualifier being over and Jens “Snute” Aasgaard and Marc “uThermal” Schlappi having secured their slot in Shenzhen. Now, you have a chance of joining them and other top StarCraft II players in Shenzhen!

Just like in previous seasons, Intel Extreme Masters will host an open bracket for four of the StarCraft II spots thus giving a second chance to all those who didn’t qualify earlier. This is your opportunity to prove you are worthy of playing among the world’s best StarCraft II players.

The slot distribution for Open Bracket applies as follows:

  • 4 China

  • 3 Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong

  • 1 Rest of Asia (excluding the above)

  • 2 Americas

  • 2 Europe

  • 4 Global

The slots will be filled in order of the official WCS ranking from the 8th of June.

How to sign up

In order to sign up for the Intel Extreme Masters Shenzhen Open Bracket, please send an e-mail to with the following information:

  • Full name

  • Nickname

  • Race

  • Link to your Battle.NET profile

  • Link to your ESL profile

  • List of tournament achievements, if available

  • Date of Birth (players are required to be 16 or older)

  • Phone number (incl. Country Code)

Application deadline is on Tuesday, June 23rd at 23:59 PDT.
