World of Tanks Generals comes to ESL Play!

World of Tanks has already established its strong position in the esports world and now it’s time for World of Tanks Generals to follow suit!

What is World of Tanks Generals?

World of Tanks Generals is a free-to-play, turn-based collectible card game which features World War II warfare. Thanks to plenty of different cards available, every battle is unique and becomes an intense combination of various tactics to bring down your opponent in this highly dynamic one-on-one combat.

You can adapt the game to your personal play style by constructing your own deck of 200 unique cards. Cards are divided into three factions: USA, Germany and USSR, and include headquarters, orders, squads, tanks, artillery, as well as special bonus cards like additional firepower or defences to add extra dimensions to your gameplay strategy.

Available on PC, smartphones and tablets, it can be played comfortably whenever and wherever - as long as you have an internet connection.

World of Tanks Generals on ESL Play

World of Tanks Generals is coming to ESL Play with European 1on1 Community Cups. Open to all players and with unlimited slots, the tournament will have a single elimination best-of-one format, with the final match being a best-of-three. This is your chance to prove your tactical, scheming and leading skills in exchange for gold bars!

Gold bar distribution:

  • First place: 1,000
  • Second place: 750
  • Third and fourth place: 500

How to play World of Tanks Generals on ESL Play

There are six steps to follow in order to play competitive World of Tanks Generals on ESL Play:

  1. Add your opponent as a friend.
  2. Challenge your opponent to a duel
  3. Select your deck and press Battle.
  4. Play out the match.
  5. Make a screenshot of the battle summary.
  6. Add the result of the match along with the screenshot on ESL.

The first cup will take place on Friday, the 7th of August. Be sure not to miss it!
